- Install and upgrade application software at the database level;
- Deploy hot fixes and new releases;
- Create objects of the databases (tables, views, indexes);
- Manage and implement changes in the database structure when necessary;
- Monitor and control database users;
- Observe and optimize the application and database performance;
- Plan information archive and restore procedures in the databases;
- Monitor the performance of the oracle databases;
- Perform troubleshooting investigations and analyses;
- Keep in touch with suppliers of DB and Application software to assure technical maintenance;
- Keep the level of personal qualification corresponding to the requirements in telecommunication and information technologies sphere;
- Create documentation for the performed procedures;
- Database administration:configuring, maintaining, performance tuning, back up/recovery;
- Database design, proper functionality assurance, disaster recovery, monitoring DB performance and security;
- Making changes in the structure and scripts of the database according to the needs of product development and the updates of the product versions;
- Database troubleshooting and bug-fixing;
- Ensuring that the recording, archiving, backup and recovery procedures function as necessary;
- Planning and implementing migrations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in database administration (including Oracle DB);
- Database administration: configuring, maintaining, performance tuning, back up/recovery;
- Database troubleshooting and bug-fixing;
- Planning and implementing migration procedures;
- Excellent knowledge and experience in installation, administration and maintenance, backup/restore of Oracle DB;
- Experience in creating database objects (tables, indexes, etc.) in Oracle DB;
- Experience in Oracle DB performance tuning, excellent knowledge of PL/SQL;
- University degree in the field of information technology;
- Analytical, self-driven and communicative personality;
- Responsible and optimistic attitude towards the active work and the team;
- Ability to achieve satisfactory results within the time period specified;
- Good command of the English language – written and spoken.
